Survey on the Progress of Rule of Law in China
Why we chose Guangdong as a case study: On one hand, it was due to technical reasons. Considering cost constraints, the survey was completed by student volunteers during the "May Day" Golden Week holiday. However, the survey subjects were not limited to residents of Guangdong but also included migrant workers in the province. Statistics show that there are 16 million migrant workers in Guangdong. On the other hand, Guangdong was one of the earliest regions to promote rule of law governance. Choosing Guangdong as the survey subject is representative and forward-looking.
