Features: Our book, A Concise History of Chinese Criminal Law, is based on the main criminal law systems and principles in modern general criminal law as its main thread. Using existing criminal law historical materials as a basis, we have absorbed the scientific achievements of previous research and conducted long-term, systematic studies on criminal law systems and principles from the period of the emergence of criminal law to the end of the Qing Dynasty, in accordance with the chronological order of historical development. We aim to elucidate the development and evolution processes of major criminal law systems and principles in a concise and clear manner, reveal their objective laws of development and evolution, and provide assistance to those who are new to the study of Chinese criminal law history. Due to the limitations of our theoretical level, historical knowledge, and mastery of criminal law materials, omissions and errors are inevitable. We sincerely welcome readers to point them out.
