Features: On October 27, 2005, mainland Chinese companies underwent substantial modifications, with the extent of the changes being close to that of substantive legislation. Meanwhile, the amendment to Taiwan's "Company Law" was promulgated on June 22, 2005, marking a continuation of the major revision of Taiwan's "Company Law" in 2001. With both sides of the strait's company laws undergoing significant amendments, this issue's thematic discussion specially invites mainland scholars to comprehensively analyze the direction and connotation of the recent company law amendments from a macro perspective, and to examine the legislative planning approach from the perspective of the application of company law amendments. Taiwanese scholars explore the interactive relationship between equity structure and corporate governance, as well as the issue of technical valuation in Taiwan's "Company Law," analyzing the development of the company capital system, all of which hold research significance.
