Features: The profound and long-standing culture of the Chinese nation, like a shining constellation, has illuminated the five thousand years of history. Many of its essence have been passed down through generations, their value becoming more enduring over time—this is what we call National Culture Classics. They are the crystallization of wisdom from ancient culture, a splendid record of national culture, a document that connects the past and future of Chinese culture, and the fundamental source of Chinese culture and Chinese spirit. They are also treasures that we should pass on endlessly. In this series, "Introduction to Children's National Culture Classics," we have selected 20 ancient classics of China. They are presented in a simple and accessible manner, with annotations and translations of the original texts, accompanied by vivid cartoon illustrations to help children grasp the meaning and spirit within. During the writing process, we approached the selection with great care, ensuring the rigor of the materials, the precision of the annotations, and the accuracy of the evaluations. The learning potential and absorption capacity of children are beyond imagination for adults. We advocate that parents and teachers should strengthen guidance and focus on cultivating children's self-learning abilities. Learning methods should be simple and practical—ideally starting with recitation, followed by familiarization, then memorization, and finally comprehension. We encourage parents and teachers to recite with children, leading them while also further enriching themselves with moral and cultural refinement.
