Features: This book is based on the training objectives for clinical disciplines in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) programs at higher TCM colleges and universities, as well as the teaching syllabus of the national higher TCM college and university planning textbooks for the new century. It takes the national higher TCM college and university planning textbooks, including Internal Medicine of TCM, Surgery of TCM, Gynecology of TCM, Pediatrics of TCM, Orthopedics and Traumatology of TCM, Ophthalmology of TCM, and Otolaryngology of TCM, as its blueprint. With the aim of providing comprehensive clinical disciplines and strengthening fundamental clinical knowledge, the book emphasizes the clinical characteristics of various TCM disciplines, briefly introducing the concepts, etiology, pathogenesis, and key differential diagnosis and treatment principles for 338 common and frequently occurring diseases and syndromes in TCM. The book is divided into seven chapters: Internal Medicine, Surgery (including dermatology, urology, and anorectal diseases), Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Ophthalmology, and Otolaryngology. Each disease or syndrome is divided into two parts: an overview and a concise table of differential diagnosis and treatment. The overview briefly summarizes the concept, clinical characteristics, etiology, pathogenesis, key differential diagnosis, treatment principles, and corresponding Western medical disease names of the disease or syndrome. This book will benefit TCM internship doctors and clinical TCM practitioners in improving their hands-on and adaptive clinical skills. It is not only a teaching aid and clinical internship guide that meets the needs of the development of TCM and aligns with the new-century planning textbooks for various clinical disciplines, but also a clinical reference book for TCM practitioners in various disciplines and Western medical practitioners learning TCM.
