Features: The writing of this book is based on Mr. Ma Changtao's field investigation in the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, which lasted for eight months. In the autumn of 1936, Mr. Ma Changtao joined the National Central Museum as an assistant researcher. Before 1949, Mr. Ma Changtao mainly engaged in ethnological research, conducting field surveys in the areas inhabited by the Yi, Jiarong Tibetan, Qiang, and other ethnic groups in Southwest China. These papers all apply the theories and methods of ethnology, combining the results of ethnological field research and documentary studies, and hold significant academic value.
