Features: After the passing of Mr. Qigong, the mourning hall set up in Yingdong Building of Beijing Normal University saw wreaths, epitaphs, eulogies, poems, telegrams, letters, flower baskets, and bouquets increasing every hour. On July 7th, as many as 6,000 people, including elderly and children, came from Hong Kong in the south to Liaoning in the north to bid farewell at Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery. Without the authority to issue calls or the wealth to rely on, there was only the vitality and good fortune Mr. Qigong possessed. "Mr. Qigong is the pride of Beijing Normal University, a role model and academic mentor respected by teachers and students. His profound knowledge, outstanding achievements, noble character, and exemplary moral integrity make him a benchmark. He taught by example and set standards for others. Though he has passed away, his lofty academic accomplishments, noble intellectual realm, and indomitable spirit remain a precious legacy for us." For this reason, the editors have selected writings from hundreds of pieces of remembrance, each with different relationships, perspectives, and writing styles, along with 10-odd specially commissioned essays, to compile this collection as a token of shared sorrow and gratitude.
