Features: Diplomas are a key to opportunity
"Are you from which university? What kind of diploma do you have?" This is a question we often encounter in life. The prevalence of this question indicates that in modern society, people have come to view diplomas as equivalent to qualifications—meaning that the type of diploma one holds determines the treatment they receive. Therefore, in a sense, diplomas are the (key) for students stepping into society, and they are also the measuring stick employers use to assess talent. Of course, not everyone with a diploma is necessarily talented, but it cannot be denied that those with higher diplomas possess more conditions for success than the average person.
Because, if you only have talent but lack a diploma, you are very likely to be eliminated in the initial stages of competition—you won’t even get a chance to showcase your abilities, let alone succeed. On the other hand, if you have the diploma that employers expect, you can at least compete on the same starting line as others. With this opportunity, you can fully demonstrate your talent, and only then will you have a chance to achieve success.
In other words, in a society that values academic credentials, it is extremely difficult for someone without a diploma to stand out and rise above others. You might say that success can still be achieved without a diploma, but it is certain that you will have to pay more hardship and effort on the road to success. Therefore, no matter how much you disdain the prevailing notion in today’s society that "diplomas equal ability," for the sake of your future, you should strive to obtain a convincing diploma.
In real life, it is not uncommon for careers to be derailed due to the lack of a diploma. Perhaps these situations are unfair to the individuals involved, but in an environment where society values diplomas, you can only strive to adapt to it—wanting it to adjust and change for you is nearly impossible. Therefore, if you want your future to be brighter, you must learn from past mistakes and not take the issue of diplomas lightly. You should work hard to secure a golden diploma when your energy and time allow.
A young man named Wang Tao once fell victim to the hurdle of a diploma. In 2002, Wang Tao was introduced to a certain newspaper office in Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, by a relative. Since he had always been passionate about literary creation, he loved his job and devoted great enthusiasm to it. However, because Wang Tao lacked a diploma, the newspaper office could not include him in the staff. With no other choice, he later moved to the Publicity Department of Pingmei Group’s Chaocan Coal Mine after a year.
To be fair, Wang Tao had strong writing skills and had even written two full-length novels. However, his greatest flaw was the lack of a diploma! Because of this, less than a year into his role at the Publicity Department, the section chief found Wang Tao and said, "Although you are very talented and do an excellent job, you don’t have a diploma, so we cannot officially hire you." Wang Tao had no choice but to leave again.
Of course, we must emphasize
What makes your future worry-free
