Features: Research achievements of the World Bank Loan Project for Higher Education Teaching Reform in the 21st Century, university-level teaching material, chemical experiments for engineering majors. This book is one of the research outcomes of the "Reform and Improvement of the Chemical Curriculum System for Non-Chemical Engineering Majors in the 21st Century" initiative launched by the Ministry of Education in 2000. It presents a completely new system of basic chemical experiments for non-chemical engineering majors, with the central idea of integrating previously separately offered experiments in inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry into a single course to meet the needs of curriculum and teaching content reform in engineering colleges. The experimental content starts with basic laboratory operations and focuses on material preparation, purification, property determination, parameter measurement, and component analysis and structural characterization, covering a series of basic operation experiments, fundamental experiments, comprehensive and design-oriented experiments, as well as computer simulation experiments. The selected experiments primarily draw from environmental, life science, industrial, and daily-life contexts, including 70 experiments in total: 8 basic operation experiments, 45 fundamental experiments, 9 comprehensive experiments, 6 design-oriented experiments, and 2 computer simulation experiments. The purpose is to strengthen the cultivation of students' comprehensive qualities, innovative awareness, and abilities. This book can serve as a basic chemical experiment textbook for non-chemical and non-chemical engineering majors in universities, as well as a reference for relevant technical professionals. This book is one of the research outcomes of the "Reform and Improvement of the Chemical Curriculum System for Non-Chemical Engineering Majors in the 21st Century" initiative launched by the Ministry of Education in 2000.
