Author: Wu Jianbin (Compiler)

Publish Date: 2006-09-01
Features: This book is a revised and republished version based on the 2001 edition of "Introduction to Economic Law." Except for the preface, its basic content is composed of 13 chapters: Contract Law, Sales Law, Intellectual Property Law, Corporate Law, Company Law, Negotiable Instruments Law, Maritime Law, Insurance Law, Bankruptcy Law, Competition Law, Securities and Futures Law, Foreign Trade Law, Commercial Arbitration, and Civil and Commercial Trial. This book is the crystallization of the author's 20 years of teaching experience in economic and commercial law. It has several new features:
First, the overall approach and framework shift from economic law to commercial law. The original version, when changed from "Economic Law Tutorial" to "Introduction to Economic Law," still did not break away from the "economic law" framework. This edition has been almost completely overhauled, though it differs little from a "pure" commercial law textbook. Moreover, by removing the basic theory section and using the preface to unify the entire book, it forms a more complete system and is more practical.
Second, the structure and system of the book have been adjusted by adding and deleting content. First, the basic content of commercial activity law has been moved before commercial subject law to highlight commercial transactions. Second, content related to consumer rights protection, taxation, and banking law, which is not closely tied to commercial law, has been removed. Third, the Sales Law section has been added, including international sales of goods, to meet the needs of economic globalization.
Third, the content of the entire book has been comprehensively updated. The Company Law section has been almost entirely rewritten, and the Securities Law and Bankruptcy Law sections have undergone major revisions to reflect the results of the aforementioned three legal amendments to the greatest extent possible. The book also reflects changes in mandatory traffic accident liability insurance, the draft Antitrust Law, the new Partnership Enterprise Law, the new Foreign Trade Law, the new Foreign Exchange Management System, the new Anti-Dumping Law, and civil and commercial trial content.
