Features: The concept of participating in the China Pavilion for the Aichi World Expo was formed about two years ago on a sunny May day. When I saw the images and information of the 2000 Hannover World Expo in Germany, I had a dream: whether I would have the opportunity to participate in the design and creation of the World Expo. This can be said to be the ideal of a person engaged in spatial art design. So, when I heard the words "China Pavilion for the Aichi World Expo call for entries" from the side, it immediately caught my attention. Within a week before the final deadline, I and my fellow artists quickly formed a creative team and embarked on a challenging, passionate, excited, and slightly bewildered journey. At that time, the concept of the World Expo was not yet understood by many people as it is today, even our designers only had a vague positioning and fragmented information. Perhaps the patriotic passion of our working team moved the organizing committee, allowing us to fully demonstrate our creative level and high-quality production, but our proposal, far from the actual situation and positioning, entered the second round of selection. Mr. Du Yanlong and Mr. Wang Peng from the organizing committee also participated in the deepening and review of the third round of proposals, making our creative crystallization the final implementation plan for the China Pavilion. Of course, this also began the more than two-year creative and implementation process from June 2003 to the present. Only now can I calm down and make a relatively systematic review of the creative design of the China Pavilion for the Aichi World Expo, treating it as a of this highly meaningful journey.
