Introduction: The Beijing English Testing System (BETS), abbreviated as Beijing English Testing System, was jointly launched by the Beijing Citizens Speaking Foreign Languages Activity Committee, the Beijing Municipal People's Government General Office of Foreign Affairs, and the ESOL Examinations Department of the University of Cambridge, UK. It is organized and administered by the Beijing Education Examination and Research Institute. The questions for the Beijing English Testing System were jointly developed by the ESOL Examinations Department of the University of Cambridge, UK, and the Beijing Citizens Speaking Foreign Languages Activity Committee. It covers reading, writing, grammar and structure, listening, and speaking, aiming to comprehensively assess candidates' comprehensive language proficiency. The Beijing English Testing System Leading Group has organized the compilation of a series of books such as the "Beijing English Testing System Examination Syllabus," "Beijing English Testing System Standard Course," and "Beijing English Testing System Authentic Practice Tests," which are exclusively published and distributed by Higher Education Press.
