Publish Date: 2006-10-01
Features: This book is a supplementary exercise course textbook for the "Calculus" series (Volumes 1 and 2) of the "Fundamentals of Economic Management Mathematics" textbook series. It is written based on the teaching requirements of the calculus course for economics, management, and humanities majors. This is Volume 1, covering topics such as functions, limits and continuity, derivatives and differentials, mean value theorems and applications of derivatives, indefinite integrals, definite integrals and their applications. The book is rich in content and comprehensive in problem types. Each chapter first summarizes the main content and teaching requirements, followed by selected examples, solutions to difficult problems, and in some chapters, analysis of common error types. Finally, it provides exercises, comprehensive exercises, and reference answers with hints. This book is a national-level "11th Five-Year Plan" planning textbook for general higher education and a supplementary exercise course textbook for "Calculus" (Volumes 1 and 2) (edited by Li Yong, Tsinghua University Press, 2005). The book is divided into two volumes. Volume 1 covers functions, limits and continuity, derivatives and differentials, mean value theorems and applications of derivatives, indefinite integrals, and definite integrals and their applications. Volume 2 covers vector algebra and spatial analytical geometry, multivariable calculus, multiple integrals, infinite series, differential equations, and difference equations. Volume 1 of this book remains divided into 6 chapters, each summarizing the main content and teaching requirements first, followed by selected examples, solutions to difficult problems, and in some chapters, analysis of common error types. Finally, it provides exercises, comprehensive exercises, and reference answers with hints. In addition to the "Calculus Exercise Course Textbook" (Volumes 1 and 2) as a supplementary textbook for the main textbook "Calculus" (Volumes 1 and 2), there are also the "Calculus Teacher's Manual" (Solutions to Exercises) and the "Calculus Electronic Teaching Plan" for classroom use. This book can be used as a supplementary exercise course textbook or teaching reference for calculus courses in economics, management, finance, and related majors in higher education institutions.
