Features: The storytelling "Welcome the Ming Lord, No Taxation" about "Licheng" depicts the intricate historical process and magnificent peasant uprising spanning over 300 years. Following the main thread of the peasant army led by Li Zicheng in the late Ming Dynasty growing from weak to strong, turning defeat into victory, overthrowing the Ming Dynasty, and resisting the southward advance of the Qing army, it vividly recreates the turbulent historical landscape of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties from multiple perspectives, aspects, and levels, showcasing the tragic outcome of the peasant uprising's rise and fall. It successfully portrays a series of characters, including Li Zicheng and the Ming Emperor Chongzhen, revealing the laws of peasant wars and historical movement development. Li Zicheng led military campaigns for over a decade, emphasizing strict management and training of his troops, maintaining close relations with the people, and skillfully seizing battlefield initiative, often achieving victory through flexible tactics. He wrote an important chapter in the history of Chinese peasant wars. Tian Zhanyi apprenticed under the renowned crosstalk artist Wang Shichen in 1956 to learn crosstalk performance. In 1968, he apprenticed under the famous storytelling artist Li Xinquan to study storytelling performance. In 1978, he joined the Storytelling Troupe of the China Railway Cultural Troupe as a professional storytelling artist, also apprenticing under the renowned storytelling artist Yuan Kuocai to further his skills. Starting in 1982, he collaborated with Shen Yongnian and others to create numerous long-story commentaries, including "Secret Train," "Hu Men Smoke," "Lin Xiangqian," "Republic of China," "Forbidden City Anecdotes," "Great Wall Treasure," "Licheng," "Top Secret Action," and "New Interpretations of Ancient Books" such as "Comprehensive Mirror of Ancient and Modern Times." For Tian Zhanyi's achievements in storytelling about modern history, experts Wang Jingshou, Wang Jue, and Zeng Huijie wrote in the "Eastern Culture Integration" series: "In the book 'On Chinese Storytelling Art,' the 'Commentary by Renowned Artists' section states: 'Tian Zhanyi is one of the most accomplished storytellers in recent years specializing in modern history storytelling.'"
