What are the symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease?

Patient's question:

My daughter is three and a half years old. These past few days, she said her mouth hurts. It's like she has ulcers in her mouth. But there are no blisters on her hands or feet. There are just a few small red spots on the soles of her feet. I want to ask if this could be hand, foot, and mouth disease?

Doctor's answer:

Hand, foot, and mouth disease's vesicles typically grow on one side of both hands' palms, including the edges (excluding the back). The rash may have a rash on it, or the rash may have a rash on it. Surrounding the rash are red halos and white vesicles (the rash refers to the rash that appears when the rash on the hands and feet begins. It does not exceed the surface of the skin. About half a day or one night before the white vesicles appear on the rash, it is like rice, which is usually a little higher than the surface of the rash. This is the characteristic of the rash, and also the sequence of the rash. White vesicles turn dark red after about 2 days. The rash disappears completely or partially within 5-7 days (incorrect treatment can resolve the rash). The rash usually reaches its peak on the 4th day and begins to subside after 4 days. It is recommended that you take your baby to a regular top three hospital for examination to rule out the cause of symptomatic treatment, and wish your baby a healthy growth.
