Features: The cultivation of Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in China has been ongoing for over a decade. From 1991, when a handful of universities in China enrolled fewer than 100 students in their first batch of MBA programs, to the present day, with over 60 higher education institutions across the country offering MBA majors, this reflects the adaptation of China's higher education management programs to the actual needs of talent in the market economy and the development of economic globalization. It also mirrors the significant transformation and transitional period in China's economy, society, and education. Currently, in addition to the formal academic MBA programs offered by universities, there are also business management education programs in society that focus primarily on skills training. The rapid rise of MBA education in China can be largely attributed to the surge in demand for practical business talents resulting from the swift transition from a planned economy system to a market economy system. It also serves as a microcosm of China's continuous opening-up, the increasing adoption of international practices in economic activities, and the gradual internationalization of management education. Despite this, the current scale of MBA programs in China is still far from meeting the needs of China's economic development.
