Features: This book is compiled by the Documentation and Research Center of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The authors conducted multiple interviews with Deng Xiaoping's wife Zhuo Lin, their children, relatives, friends, and close associates. Through their sincere and touching recollections, the book vividly brings to life the lesser-known stories of Deng Xiaoping as a son, husband, and father, authentically reflecting his love for his wife, children, friends, hometown, people, and motherland, fully showcasing the ordinary sentiments and personal charm of a century-old great figure. The book is divided into six parts: "The Last 20 Years of Life," "Sharing Sufferings for 58 Years," "Family Bonds," "Father in the Eyes of His Children," "Lifestyle," and "Eternal Remembrance." The main part is a recollection by Zhuo Lin, Deng Xiaoping's wife, of her heart's journey from meeting, falling in love, to accompanying him for over half a century, telling the touching story of their deep bond, shared hardships, and mutual support over 58 years. It also includes stories told by Deng Xiaoping's children about the profound love between their parents and the strong family sentiments of their father. The book has three major features: primary sources, first-time disclosure, and the only version available nationwide, making it highly authoritative; it weaves the theme of "emotion" throughout, allowing readers to enter Deng Xiaoping's life from the perspective of an ordinary person, deeply moving and inspiring; the entire book features over 400 selected photographs, making it richly illustrated and vividly presented.
