Patient's question:
Relatives have recently been feeling unwell, experiencing urgency, pain, and frequent urination when using the restroom. The doctor said it's related to the prostate. I would like to ask if prostatitis can be transmitted during sexual intercourse?Doctor's answer:
The causes of prostatitis include prolonged sitting, excessive smoking and drinking, irritating foods, prolonged exposure to cold, and unclean sexual practices, all of which may lead to this condition. If it is ordinary prostatitis or chronic prostatitis, with an increase in lecithin corpuscles, white blood cells, or other bacteria without leakage, it is absolutely not infectious. If the prostate has transmitted prostatitis accompanied by an increase in white blood cells or bacterial infection, it is usually contagious. The most common cause is excessive foreskin in males.
