Prostate examination consultation is normal?

Patient's question:

The patient is 67 years old. They have a history of gastric cancer and underwent a gastric resection surgery six months ago. The MRI report states: "Transabdominal size of the prostate: 45×44×45mm. The shape is reduced, the contour is clear, the capsule is intact, and the is uneven. Several strong echo spots are observed within the prostate. The bladder wall is rough, with prostatic hyperplasia accompanied by fibrosis." Abnormal findings in the urine test: Protein 1+, Hematuria 1+, Leukocytes 1+, Leukocytes+++ What assistance is needed: Consultation on the test results, and dietary and lifestyle restrictions.

Doctor's answer:

From the ultrasound results, it can be seen that the prostate is relatively normal in size but enlarged, and the bladder wall is thickened. Considering your age, it is likely benign prostatic hyperplasia. The urinalysis revealed white blood cells, and the ultrasound detected several strong echoes in the prostate, which are considered calcification spots caused by chronic prostatitis.
Advice: The condition of fibrosis needs to be confirmed by combining your clinical symptoms (such as frequent urination, urgency, hesitation, increased nighttime urination, or even difficulty urinating) and additional tests (such as residual urine volume) to determine the appropriate guidelines (medication or surgery) for treatment. For chronic prostatitis, antibiotic treatment may be the first step, followed by attention to avoiding overexertion and staying up late.
