Features: I originally wanted to be a field mouse because the only skill of a field mouse is digging. And I am like that too. I must dig to the root of everything, or I can't stand it. This may be because I find a sense of pleasure and excitement in pursuing relentlessly. Especially the tingling pain during the process of events has almost become the coffee and milk of my life. Of course, I don't want to dissect a living organism because I am so naive about ideologies, beliefs, private lives, relationships, etc., as a child, that I would rather dissect stones, water, volcanoes, air, particles. In the end, I achieved nothing. There is only one reason—I became the one being dissected by others.
I started writing for my father. My late father, though short in stature, was clear about his likes and dislikes and was well-versed in human affairs. When it came to family, he only had two younger brothers (the older one served in the National Army, and the younger one served in the People's Army in Korea). After losing both brothers, he came to Manchuria alone, enduring loneliness and torment, drinking to drown his sorrows, and finally left this world full of grievances. I deeply felt my father's grievances. Later, these grievances grew alongside the grievances of the nation, and finally, one day, when I saw through humanity's self-destruction, I poured out my passion onto the page.
Slowly waking up
