How are all cases of pediatric cerebral palsy formed?

Patient's question:

My sister-in-law had a difficult delivery when she gave birth to her child last year. We were all terrified at the time, but thankfully, both mother and daughter are safe. However, shortly after the child was born, when they went to the hospital for a check-up, the doctor said the child had infantile cerebral palsy.
How is infantile cerebral palsy formed?

Doctor's answer:

The most common pathological changes in premature infants are periventricular white matter softening and periventricular hemorrhagic infarction. The pathological types of full-term infants are complex and diverse, usually associated with hypoxic-ischemic brain injury. The marble-like state is characterized by neuronal loss and gliosis in the basal ganglia and thalamus, accompanied by increased myelination, presenting a marble-like texture. This is a typical change of kernicterus and can also be seen in hypoxic-ischemic injury.
