Later, he is misunderstood by his patron and adoptive father, Mr. Allworthy, and is expelled from the house, while also being separated from his lover Sophia. This couple faces numerous hardships and temptations, ultimately finding happiness after enduring suffering. The mystery of Tom Jones's origins is revealed, he regains Mr. Allworthy's favor, and he marries Sophia, living happily ever after.
