Features: This book is compiled in line with the spirit of the "Provisional Regulations on the Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination" issued by the National Personnel Department and the requirements of the "Trial Syllabus for the National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination - French Translation (Intermediate Level)". It serves as a comprehensive French translation textbook. The purpose of this book is to systematically enhance students' vocabulary and grammar knowledge, as well as improve their reading comprehension and ability to distinguish between word meanings through reading and exercises. The book consists of 8 units, with 2 lessons per unit. Each lesson is divided into two main parts: text and exercises. The themes of the 8 units are as follows: Sports and Entertainment, Tourism and Transportation, Politics and Society, Culture and Heritage, Education and Health, Economy and Business, Industry and Agriculture, Science and Technology. The two texts in each unit are selected around the corresponding themes, and a basic vocabulary list, phrase list, text notes, and reading comprehension questions related to the themes are provided after each text. Since translation covers a wide range of topics, the vocabulary and phrase lists will be helpful for learners engaged in specific translation activities. The notes are mainly written in French and focus on key points in the text, helping learners understand the content, expand their knowledge, and provide additional practice. The post-lesson questions serve as exercises to deepen understanding of the text and reinforce knowledge. The exercises are designed according to the exam format, divided into four parts: vocabulary and grammar, reading comprehension, cloze, and composition. Among these, the reading materials, cloze, and composition are based on the text themes and, like the texts, use as up-to-date materials as possible to expand knowledge. However, considering the practical needs of learners for exam practice, the vocabulary and grammar exercises are independently designed. At the end of the book, there is also an exercise guide and answer key.
