Features: This is a unique "TV book," the publication that marks the 12 Studio's 10-year journey and its fresh debut. The book collects 16 exciting debates on topics such as "Last-Round Elimination System," "Personal Bounty for Capturing Criminals," "Limited Car Use," and "Men and Women Working in Separate Shifts." Although it cannot fully capture the rich TV language on screen (expressions, gestures, tone, intonation), all the articles are specially written by the program guests at the invitation of the editor for each topic and are highly readable.
12 Studio was established in 1992. There's a small story behind its name: At the time, CCTV's Youth Department wanted to launch a program primarily targeting college students, with content and format already decided, but they were missing a catchy name. The directors and editors pondered for a long time without a breakthrough, until someone suggested, "Why not just use the name of our studio?" That's how 12 Studio got its name. Although its current recording location is Studio 10.
As an old brand of CCTV, 12 Studio has created many during its decade of growth, such as CCTV MTVs and studio-based TV magazines. With the passage of time and the arrival and departure of generations of college students, 12 Studio has, with the unique vigor and innovative spirit of the youth, spread new ideas, concepts, and knowledge to several generations of young people, deeply influencing their studies, work, and lives.
