1. It requires the guidance of Marxism. To write a biography of a person, one must fully utilize the materials and conduct serious research. Only when one has a comprehensive understanding of this person's life, specific judgments about their major actions and words, and is confident that these concepts and judgments align with objective historical facts, can one begin writing.
2. It requires a narrative style, not a critical biography. The correct perspective should be conveyed through concrete facts. Avoid excessive commentary detached from factual material. The selection, detail, and wording of facts must be carefully considered to ensure appropriateness.
3. It requires authenticity and credibility. The facts in the biography must be repeatedly verified, with some requiring further investigation, to ensure accuracy. If doubts remain unresolved, it is better to omit or leave them uncertain rather than spread misinformation.
4. It requires reflecting a person's full picture while maintaining focus. A person's biography should accurately present their family background, education, major experiences, and actions. In summary, their life story should be fully reflected. However, it should not be written as a mere chronology or chronicle. Select the most essential and representative events, describe them in detail and vividly, while leaving the rest more concise.
