Features: Francis Heymann is the founder of the Paris-based architectural group RSi(n), which is a renowned figure in the international field of digital architectural design. He is also one of the most controversial contemporary architects in France. Francis Heymann's architectural design philosophy may extend far beyond architecture itself. He boldly explores the impact and future trends of multiple contexts, politics, ethics, morals, psychology, and other factors in architectural design and urban development during the human information age. The digital models in his architectural designs and virtual concepts that integrate multiple contexts may touch upon the very essence of human understanding of habitation. RSi(n)'s famous projects include the Bangkok Dust Museum, the Baton project in France, the Hybrid Muscle project in Thailand, and the recent Swiss Green Museum proposal. RSi(n) has been a featured guest at the Venice Architecture Biennale, receiving invitations to the highest-honored International Pavilion at every edition since the Paris Japanese Art Foundation project over a decade ago. Most recently, the French Pavilion invited him to represent France, but he announced his withdrawal from the French Pavilion before the opening, becoming a major news story at the biennale. The Paris Pompidou Center has recently conducted a series of research and exhibitions around his ideas. His recent large-scale research project on future urbanism, "What I Hear," which was curated by the Pompidou Center, has just completed a world tour and has been followed by a grand mathematical formula for urbanism derived by several mathematicians based on his ideas. This book includes multiple projects of his, including "What I Hear: Future Urbanism Experiment," presented in both Chinese and English.
