Features: To meet the needs of undergraduate and graduate education in relevant disciplines of ordinary universities, social training for public management majors, and national economic mobilization training, we were invited by Capital University of Economics and Business Press to organize the writing of the book "Introduction to Crisis Management." Crisis management is a discipline with both strong theoretical and practical components. Currently, governments and organizations worldwide place great importance on the study of crisis management, while academic research on crisis management for governments and enterprises in China is still in the exploratory development stage. The SARS crisis that broke out in China in the first half of 2003 made Chinese governments and organizations realize the importance and urgency of studying crisis management and improving emergency response capabilities, which also promoted the comprehensive development of crisis management research in China. The positioning and features of this book are reflected in the following aspects: Based on the elaboration of the "Scientific Outlook on Development" by the Central Committee and the concept of "Preparedness in Peace for Emergencies in War," it emphasizes the prevention, early warning, and long-term preparation for crises; Drawing on the experience and lessons of the SARS fight, it strengthens the content on emergency mechanism construction; Focusing on crisis management for social crises in the field of public management, it highlights the role of national economic mobilization in crisis management; Starting from China's current socio-economic system and combining the needs of establishing a national emergency mechanism, it emphasizes the importance of social communication and information disclosure mechanisms, as well as the need for psychological guidance and control during crisis situations; Inspired by the insights from public management and modern systems science on thinking and working methods, it combines theoretical elaboration with case studies, thoroughly exploring the standardized, standardized, and systematic requirements for the entire process of crisis management.
