Features: Zhang LiKui, a native of Linyi, Shandong, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of the People's Liberation Army Arts Academy. He is a member of the China Artists Association and a professional fine arts creator at the National Defense University. In 2000, he participated in the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Fine Arts Advanced Research Class, and in 2002, he joined the Central Academy of Fine Arts Ink Wash Figure Painting Graduate Class. He was honored as one of the "Top 100 Painters of the New Century" at the National Art Institute Exhibition. In 1997, he was invited to hold a five-person joint exhibition at Yunfeng Art Gallery. In 2000, he participated in a five-person teacher-student joint exhibition with Liu Daowei in Linyi. In 2003, he held an individual exhibition at the Qiutian Art Museum in Gansu. His works have been selected for the first national Chinese painting exhibition in China, the 3rd and 5th National Industrial Painting Exhibitions, the 2nd National Flower and Bird Painting Exhibition, the National Famous Artists Nomination Exhibition for Western Painting, the 2003 National Chinese Painting Academic Exhibition and the National Chinese Painting Nomination Exhibition. In January 2006, he held the "Ink Youth · Zhang LiKui Freehand Figure Painting Exhibition" at the Chinese Painting Research Institute. He has won numerous awards, including the Excellent Work Award of the 8th National Art Exhibition (the highest award), the Bronze Award of the National Art Exhibition for the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and the Return of Macau, the Excellence Award of the National Landscape Painting Exhibition for the New Century and the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China, the Excellence Award of the 1999 Macau Return Chinese Painting Exhibition, the Excellence Award of the 2000 National Chinese Painting Exhibition, the Third Prize of the "Yellow River Soul" Art Exhibition, the Golden Image Award of the "Yan Di Cup" International Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, the Highest Award of the 60th Anniversary International Art Exhibition Commemorating the Victory in the War of Resistance Against Fascism, and the Gold Medal of the "Li Chang Cup" First National Youth Chinese Painting Academic Exhibition. His works have been included in many large art albums, and many of his works have been invited to be auctioned and collected by domestic and foreign art institutions and friends (among which "Heroes" was collected by the National Art Museum of China). He has published works such as "Zhang LiKui's Fine Chinese Painting Collection," "Selected Works of Contemporary Strong Youth Painters," "Zhang LiKui · Ink Heart Language," and "Zhang LiKui · Ink Figures." His works have been published in magazines such as "Art," "Chinese Art," "Oriental Art," "Chinese Painting Market and Investment," "Art Observation," "Chinese Artists," "Art News," and "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting News."
