Features: Zeng Guofan, who created the Xiang Army and led it to defeat the Taiping Army, was celebrated in modern Chinese history for his military achievements and greatly inspired the people of Hunan to join the army, leading to the saying "No army is complete without Hunanese." Given this, calling Zeng a military strategist is justified. However, the strategist himself did not consider himself an expert in military affairs. In fact, Zeng devoted the most effort in his life to poetry and prose, and he believed his greatest strengths lay in these areas. This book selects representative works from his poetry and prose collections, aiming to introduce them to the world and delight the readers.
