Features: This book is written based on the practical requirements of power teaching and the objectives of vocational education. It is divided into two parts: Part 1 is Engineering Thermodynamics, and Part 2 is Heat Transfer. The content is organized in a hierarchical modular system to meet the needs of teaching at different levels.
In the Engineering Thermodynamics part, following the inherent logic of content development, it is based on the first and second laws of thermodynamics to present the Carnot cycle, a theoretical analysis cycle that adheres to these laws. Then, centered around this cycle, it introduces improved cycles used in practical power plants—such as the Rankine cycle, regenerative cycle, and reheat cycle. Additionally, it briefly covers steam, its flow, and ideal gases.
In the Heat Transfer part, guided by the content and research objects, it introduces the three modes of heat transfer, heat transfer processes, and finally briefly discusses the types of heat exchangers and their related calculations. Each chapter includes an appropriate number of examples and abundant exercises to help students further understand, consolidate, and reinforce the knowledge.
This book can serve as a textbook or teaching reference for vocational education in power or employee training, as well as an introductory reference for university students studying related content.
