The publication of the Yangzhou Historical and Cultural Series is a beneficial attempt and also reflects a sense of responsibility and pursuit. After the concentrated publication of series books such as Famous Gardens of Yangzhou at the beginning of 2005, due to the favorable perspective of the topics and the one-time overall launch, it generated a positive social impact, which has made us deeply gratified. Encouraged by the readers, we plan to enrich and expand the "Famous" series of books in Yangzhou. Because we must consider both the fundamental purpose of exploring local cultural resources and promoting the excellent culture of Yangzhou, as well as the practical need to provide references and insights for today's urban construction and ancient city protection, the selection of topics has become particularly challenging. After repeated discussions, we finally determined six new books, including Famous Books of Yangzhou. I hope the Yangzhou Historical and Cultural Series can also be passed down through generations, like the many famous books introduced in Famous Books of Yangzhou, benefiting our homeland.
