Siku Quanshu Zongmu Tieshu

Author: (Qing) Ji Yun, Chief Compiler
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2000-03-01
Features: This edition is based on the photolithographic reprint of Zhonghua Book Company from 1965, converted to horizontal layout and simplified characters with modern punctuation. In the treatment of traditional and simplified characters and variant forms, it primarily follows the Ci Hai (Comprehensive Dictionary), Modern Chinese Dictionary, and Common Characters Dictionary of Ancient Chinese. Obvious errors in the text have been directly corrected, with annotations provided where necessary. The original book avoided the names of the Kangxi Emperor (Xuanye), the Yongzheng Emperor (Yinzhen), and the Qianlong Emperor (Hongli) due to imperial taboo. This edition restores their original names. For ethnic minority figures in Liao Shi (History of Liao), Jin Shi (History of Jin), Yuan Shi (History of Yuan), Ming Shi (History of Ming), and other historical texts, the original book provided new translations that conflicted with the original sources, leading to ambiguity. To facilitate readers, this edition has restored their original names.
