Frequent urination, incomplete urination - what medicine to take

Patient's question:

I am 60 years old this year. I used to be quite healthy, but I have recently experienced frequent urination and incomplete emptying of the bladder. At first, I didn't think it was serious, but later I noticed that the frequency of urination has been increasing. Therefore, I would like to consult about what medication can be taken for frequent urination and incomplete emptying of the bladder.

Doctor's answer:

Frequent urination, incomplete urination, further investigation is needed to determine the cause. There are two possible reasons:
1. Urinary tract infection: It is recommended to perform a urinalysis and a color Doppler ultrasound of the urinary system to confirm the diagnosis. Antibiotics can be used for anti-inflammatory treatment.
2. Prostatitis or benign prostatic hyperplasia: A prostatic fluid routine examination and a color Doppler ultrasound of the prostate should be conducted to confirm the diagnosis. Medications such as Prostect and Tamsulosin can be taken for treatment.
Prostate diseases are not easy to recover from.
