Features: The history of the Chinese Revolution is both a historical science and a science with strong political theoretical characteristics. The fundamental purpose of studying the history of the Chinese Revolution is not only to know the historical events, historical figures, and other historical knowledge during the revolutionary process, but more importantly, to understand the theoretical principles formed by reflecting objective laws from the economic lessons of the revolutionary history. This book primarily explains the modern Chinese revolution, mainly including three revolutions that are both distinct and closely linked: the old democratic revolution, the new democratic revolution, the socialist revolution, and the construction of socialism. The part on the old democratic revolution introduces the rise of the Chinese national democratic revolution and the bourgeois-led Xinhai Revolution. The part on the new democratic revolution tells the founding of the Communist Party of China, the National Revolution, the War of Land Revolution, the movement to save the nation from Japanese aggression, the nationwide Anti-Japanese War, and the People's Liberation War to seize national power. The other chapters together constitute the final part—the socialist revolution and the construction of socialism.
