Features: On the occasion of the new edition of the "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for" being released, we would like to sincerely thank our readers and customers for their long-term support and love for this series. The series was originally published by the China Renmin University Press and is now published by the Inner Mongolia University Press. For this revision, "Comprehensive Tutorial" has replaced the original "Comprehensive Module," and "Mock Test Collection" has replaced the original "Mock Test Module," while the other modules remain unchanged. The new edition is written in line with the spirit of the new syllabus and incorporates the latest information from this year's exam for revisions and adjustments. We believe that the new "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for" will still be a valuable resource for candidates and training course participants.
The "Comprehensive Tutorial" of the "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for" is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the new exam syllabus. The "Comprehensive Tutorial" covers all the items of the exam and is arranged in the same order as the official exam. During the compilation process, we focused on the following five aspects:
1. The exercises in the "Comprehensive Tutorial" must meet the specific requirements of the exam syllabus, with moderate difficulty and a strictly controlled vocabulary within the scope of the syllabus. The difficulty and length of each exercise are as close as possible to the exam samples and questions from previous years.
2. Emphasis was placed on the standardization and relevance of the selected language materials. While considering the coverage of vocabulary and grammar items and the difficulty of the reading passages, ambiguities in the original materials were removed, and a few out-of-syllabus words were annotated in Chinese to avoid overly difficult or strange questions.
3. Attention was paid to the diversity and novelty of the selected materials. Most of the content was selected, excerpted, and compiled from various books, periodicals, and exam questions from recent years, and was modified and processed as necessary to meet the exam requirements for. The materials include cultural education, social life, historical biographies, local customs, and popular science knowledge.
4. Attention was paid to the recording speed and quality of the listening exercises to ensure that the speed in this book is basically consistent with the requirements of the official exam. Considering that listening comprehension is a weak point for candidates, this book provides a large number of listening exercises for candidates to choose from.
5. Efforts were made to provide as comprehensive explanations as possible, especially for the reading and error correction sections. The writing and translation questions are accompanied by model answers or English translations for candidates to refer to.
The "Comprehensive Tutorial" of the "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for" was compiled by teachers from Tsinghua University's Foreign Language Department who have long been engaged in English teaching and research. Some of the materials have been used in English remedial classes for and have achieved good results. We hope that the publication of this book will help candidates study more effectively for the exam.
