Left testicular head cyst, varicocele, nonliquefaction - what to do?

Patient's question:

This year, I had 5 semen tests. The second one showed liquefaction within one hour, the fourth one showed poor liquefaction within one hour, and the others all showed non-liquefaction within one hour. The doctor recommended an ultrasound, which revealed a left epididymal head cyst and left varicocele. Could these two conditions cause non-liquefaction of semen? How should non-liquefied semen be treated?

Doctor's answer:

The fundamental cause of semen liquefaction failure remains epididymal head cyst and varicocele. My personal recommendation is still surgical treatment, as these two are the root causes. The epididymis can recover, but the treatment process is generally slow and prone to recurrence after recovery. Therefore, it is essential to actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment, use medication appropriately, and maintain a light diet, avoiding stimulating foods, smoking, and drinking beer.
