This book is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the newly revised "National Unified Examination Syllabus for English Proficiency of." It is divided into four chapters: The first chapter elaborates on the linguistic foundation of reading comprehension and introduces the basics of discourse; the second chapter recommends effective reading comprehension methods, techniques, and training steps; the third chapter discusses the practice of reading comprehension, focusing on the principles of question-setting for reading exams and corresponding test-taking strategies; the fourth chapter provides a comprehensive discussion on comprehensive cloze. Each chapter includes analysis of past exam questions to help candidates better understand the syllabus requirements and question-setting principles, along with numerous exercises and detailed explanations for practice and improvement.
