From the perspective of China, the country is undergoing a great reform aimed at establishing a socialist market economy system, with both internal and external openness rapidly deepening. The reform has broken the past isolationist state, enabling the long-term closed or semi-closed China to integrate swiftly into the international community. In various fields of international economic cooperation such as foreign trade, foreign technology exchange, foreign capital exchange, and foreign labor cooperation, China has achieved remarkable accomplishments that have attracted worldwide attention, and has demonstrated extremely broad prospects for development. Particularly, after China regained its membership in the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, it is now on the verge of joining the World Trade Organization. As a result, domestic economic activities will gradually shift to fully comply with international laws and practices, including conducting financial practices in accordance with international financial laws and conventions.
