Features: Since the reform and opening-up, China's commercial legislation has made significant progress. A series of commercial laws and supporting regulations have been formulated, including the Pilot Law on Bankruptcy of All-People's Enterprises, the Company Law, the Guarantee Law, the Securities Law, the Partnership Enterprise Law, and the Contract Law, which have laid a foundation for establishing the legal system of China's socialist market economy and played a crucial role in regulating business operations and commercial transactions. However, it should be noted that China's commercial legislation is still not comprehensive or systematic enough and has not fully met the practical needs of economic reform. To achieve the goal of establishing a socialist legal system in China by 2010 as proposed in the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the task of commercial legislation remains arduous. To adapt to commercial legislation and the demand for learning commercial law, Chinese law schools (departments) have offered commercial law courses as one of the 14 core courses in legal education. Currently, there are over ten textbooks and works on commercial law published domestically. Wang Xiaochuan's Commercial Law makes a valuable attempt to summarize new types of commercial transactions and explore the structure of commercial law, which is commendable. The book features an innovative and rigorous structure, concise and fluent writing, making it an essential introductory read for law students, business managers, and government employees involved in business management.
