Features: This book is a national-level planning textbook for general higher education under the "Tenth Five-Year Plan." To meet the development needs of the modern manufacturing industry, the book was compiled by referring to and analyzing various versions of textbooks such as "Mechanical Manufacturing Technology" and "Computer-Aided Process Design" published in China over the past few decades. Guided by the "Ministry of Education's Opinions on Strengthening the Cultivation of Talents in Higher Vocational and Technical Education," and combining the author's extensive experience and insights in higher vocational and technical education and research, the following compilation principles were determined:
1. Strive to highlight the characteristics of higher vocational and technical education textbooks. Basic theoretical knowledge should be sufficient and relevant, emphasizing practicality. Use examples, diagrams, and tables to express descriptive content, focusing on cultivating students' comprehensive analysis and application skills.
2. The entire book maintains systematicity and completeness while ensuring basic content. Advanced manufacturing process technologies are included, and course content selection prioritizes professionalism and applicability, emphasizing key points and a progressive learning process to ensure clarity.
3. Adhere to the implementation of the latest national standards, such as units of measurement, graphical symbols, tolerances, fits, surface roughness, terms in mechanical manufacturing technology, and methods for calculating dimension chains.
4. Focus on the connection between this course and related subjects, emphasizing the alignment between the basic theoretical part of this course and computer-aided process design, as well as the coherence between chapters. Strengthen the integration of theory and practice, with a certain number of exercises and reflection questions provided at the end of each chapter to train students, cultivate their innovative thinking, and develop their fundamental problem-solving abilities.
5. The compilation of computer-aided process design emphasizes the cultivation of applied talents, focusing on practical applications, striving for novel and clear content, and highlighting operability to facilitate student mastery, creating a solid foundation for their future work in mechanical manufacturing technology.
The entire book is based on the guiding teaching syllabus approved by the former Ministry of Education's Mechanical Specialty Textbook Compilation and Review Committee. Lectures are recommended for 70 hours, supplemented by teaching elements such as experiments, exercises, production internships, and course design. The typical part processing section can be arranged for field teaching and closely coordinated with production internship activities.
"Mechanical Manufacturing Technology and Computer-Aided Process Design" is a core professional course for the Mechanical Manufacturing Technology and Equipment major. It is also an important course for mechanical engineering and automation, mechatronics, and other mechanical-related majors. This book can serve as a textbook for various mechanical disciplines in higher vocational and technical colleges, as well as for vocational universities and television universities in mechanical fields. It is also a valuable reference for engineering technicians engaged in mechanical manufacturing.
