Features: This book is a planned teaching material for higher vocational and technical colleges under the Ministry of Education. It is written based on the newly formulated "Basic Requirements for Teaching Linear Algebra in Higher Vocational and Technical Education" by the Ministry of Education, as well as the author's many years of teaching and research experience in this course. The purpose is to provide students with a method to solve linear algebra problems and lay a foundation for subsequent courses. The author is a senior expert who enjoys special government subsidies approved by the State Council. They have long been engaged in research and teaching in areas such as linear algebra, degenerate partial differential equations, and operator eigenvalue estimation. Linear algebra is a branch of mathematics, an important foundational course, and is widely applied in fields such as natural sciences, social sciences, and engineering technology. This book has the following three main features: (1) It takes systems of linear equations as the main thread and matrices as tools, making the basic concepts, theories, and methods of linear algebra revolve around systems of linear equations, while highlighting key points and distributing difficulties; (2) It emphasizes the cultivation of computational skills, guiding students to generalize, compare, and think, thereby fostering their creative abilities; (3) The introduction of concepts and conclusions progresses from concrete to abstract, from specific to general, aiming for clarity and ease of understanding, as well as focusing on summarizing problem-solving methods. The book covers topics such as determinants, matrices, systems of linear equations, similar matrices, and quadratic forms. This book can be used as a textbook for linear algebra in various engineering majors at higher vocational and technical colleges and is also suitable for reference by engineering and technical personnel.
