Features: Compared to the previous edition, the overall framework of this edition has not undergone significant changes. Only some chapters have been adjusted and merged, outdated and repetitive content has been removed, and the starting point has been raised. This revision also incorporates the new achievements in discipline development and teaching reform over the past decade. The chapters with the most substantial changes include: alkanes and cycloalkanes being combined into one chapter, and alkenes, alkynes, and dienes being combined into another chapter, allowing for a concentrated discussion of the structure and nomenclature of aliphatic hydrocarbons. The content of the chapter on carboxylic acids and their derivatives in the previous edition was overly extensive. In this revision, the topics of fats, surfactants, etc., have been extracted and combined with terpenes, steroids, and phospholipids into a single chapter—lipids. The chapter on organic synthesis has been merged into the carboxylic acid chapter as a section. The content on organic chemistry mechanisms is discussed in relevant chapters, which is beneficial for students' comprehension and understanding. This book is used as a teaching material for chemistry students at normal secondary schools and can also be referenced by teachers and students in corresponding fields at other institutions.
