This book divides adolescence into five periods and discusses their physiological, psychological characteristics, and corresponding strategies. According to scientific practice and research fields, Adolescent Science mainly focuses on the following research areas:
1. Anatomical and Physiological Psychology of Adolescence: Mainly studies the causes and patterns of the occurrence, development, and changes in the physiology, psychology, and behavior of adolescents.
2. Neurophysiological Psychology: Mainly studies the relationship between the brain and the physiology, psychology, and behavior of adolescents.
3. Psychosomatic Medicine: Studies the relationship between psychological and social factors and human diseases, including etiology, pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention.
4. Psychological Counseling: Refers to the use of professional knowledge and skills by psychologists to provide appropriate assistance and services to clients, helping them correctly understand themselves, recognize their environment, set beneficial life goals for personal development and social progress, regulate their behavior in work, life, study, and interpersonal relationships, fully unleash their potential, enhance self-confidence and social adaptability, and achieve their expected goals.
5. Social Psychology and Behavioral Characteristics of Adolescence: Includes a series of social issues faced by students during adolescence, such as learning, interpersonal communication, friendship and love, social adaptation behavior, online behavior, and career choice.
This book has been included in the National Ministry of Education's 21st Century Curriculum Textbooks and is primarily used as a teaching material for adolescent science courses for undergraduate and graduate students in various disciplines at universities and colleges. It can also be used as a teaching material for similar majors in health schools and workers' medical colleges, as well as for reference by those engaged in adolescent-related work.
