Features: The Teaching Guide for Advanced Accounting (Teacher's Edition) is designed for instructors teaching this course and students (including upper-level undergraduates and graduate students) who are interested in conducting in-depth research on Advanced Accounting. This book is complementary to the Teaching Guide for Advanced Accounting (Student's Edition) and together they form the auxiliary teaching materials for Advanced Accounting. Each chapter of this book consists of the following sections: Learning Objectives and Requirements, Time Allocation and Key Points/Challenges, Teaching Considerations, Background Information, Requirements for In-Class and After-Class Learning, and References. This arrangement meets the needs of instructors in preparing for classes and also provides deeper insights for students who wish to conduct in-depth research on Advanced Accounting. Extending and expanding the teaching content towards internationalization. This is primarily reflected in the introduction and research on international accounting standards and related accounting practices from abroad in each chapter. Specifically, we provide corresponding introductions to international accounting standards and their changes in the content of each chapter, while also paying attention to comparative analysis with China's specific business practices.
Second, closely integrating the teaching content with China's evolving new situations. China's economic reforms are still ongoing, which has indeed posed certain challenges to maintaining the relative stability of the textbook. In response to this, we have adopted the following measures: systematically addressing new changes in content (such as lease accounting and segment reporting) and highlighting evolving topics (such as foreign currency transactions accounting and business combinations) to guide instructors in staying updated with changing external conditions and mastering new knowledge and information quickly, thereby enabling students to acquire the latest insights.
Third, closely linking the teaching content with students' self-research capabilities. This is primarily reflected in the requirements for in-class discussions and after-class learning, as well as the references listed at the end of each chapter. It can be said that the post-chapter discussion questions listed are records of the issues encountered in teaching practice, serving as basic guidelines for students to understand the textbook content and conduct research, as well as a bridge connecting theory with practical application. Organizing in-class discussions thoughtfully or guiding students to independently consider the proposed questions are both beneficial for clarifying the content taught in the textbook and enhancing students' comprehensive competencies.
