Features: "Ideological and Moral Cultivation" is a core course in ideological and political education and moral cultivation in China's higher education. The purpose and main task of the "Ideological and Moral Cultivation" course are: actively promoting the important thought of the "Three Represents" into classrooms, textbooks, and students' minds; implementing the important thought of "governing the country with virtue" and the spirit of the "Implementation Plan for Citizen Moral Construction"; educating and guiding vocational students to correctly understand higher vocational education, themselves, their environment, and the characteristics of the era; providing socialist moral and citizen moral education for vocational students with serving the people as the core and collectivism as the principle; improving the ideological and moral level and moral evaluation ability of vocational students, cultivating noble ideals and sentiments and good moral qualities; guiding and helping vocational students to establish a Marxist worldview, life outlook, values, moral outlook, and career outlook, and to set the great ideal of communism and the belief in Marxism, becoming builders and successors of the socialist cause who are "idealistic, moral, cultured, and disciplined."
