Features: When Zhang Zhizhong joined the joint front formed by the early Nationalist Party and the Communist Party and entered the Whampoa Military Academy, he was called "the Red Commander" by the students. After the "Zhongshan Incident" on March 20, 1926, he was listed as one of the "Four Evils of Whampoa" along with Yun Daiying, Deng Yanda, and Gao Yuhuan, and nearly suffered retaliation from Jiang Jieshi as a result. He participated in three campaigns against rebellion and two wars of resistance, achieving remarkable military exploits and becoming a senior general of the Nationalist Party, while also earning Jiang Jieshi's trust. During the period of negotiations between the Nationalist Party and the Communist Party, Zhang Zhizhong visited Yan'an three times and played a crucial role in promoting cooperation between the two parties and saving the nation from peril. Zhang Zhizhong's life was full of legends. He held a distinguished position within the Nationalist Party, had a close personal relationship with Jiang Jieshi, and also maintained close ties with the top leadership of the Communist Party. He was a lifelong close friend of Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai.
