Features: "The Book of Changes" states: "The sun and moon endure in the sky and illuminate forever; the four seasons change and accomplish forever. The sages, long devoted to their paths, bring transformation to the world." Scholars, looking up to the brightness of the celestial way and delving into the subtleties of the terrestrial way, hold the world in their hearts, ceaselessly seeking knowledge, diligently cultivating their studies, and persevering with constancy. Through the hardships of their academic journey and the trials of their mentors' guidance, they temper their character and refine their scholarship. Perhaps they may achieve the talent of a five-wheeled carriage and leave behind timeless works. It is said: Without the ceaseless, gentle contributions of scholars since the Yellow Emperor over hundreds of generations, how could we witness the magnificent and boundless civilization of the Chinese nation spanning thousands of years! Today, the School of Civil, Commercial, and Economic Law at China University of Political Science and Law represents a group of contemporary Chinese legal scholars. Established in 2002, it gathers the elite of various disciplines at the university and attracts renowned scholars and emerging talents from around the world. The school comprises eight research institutes: Civil Law, Commercial Law, Economic Law, Civil Procedure Law, Environmental and Resource Law, Intellectual Property Law, Tax, Finance, and Banking Law, and Labor and Social Security Law. To date, it has over 120 full-time faculty members, more than 50 part-time professors, 2,000 undergraduate students, and 1,000 master and doctoral students, making it one of the largest academic teams in civil, commercial, and economic law in China. Since 2003, the school has been dedicated to "refining scholarship and delving into key issues," establishing the "Autumn Forum" as a platform for reviewing achievements and fostering exchange. During the autumn months, when the weather is crisp and pleasant, the entire school gathers in one place. The forum is divided into several sessions, each beginning with presentations by selected outstanding scholars (primarily young ones), followed by comments from renowned experts (primarily external ones). Attendees and guests engage in lively discussions, and the session concludes with a summary by the host. The forum is elegant in its charm and fervent in its atmosphere, leaving participants with the feeling of "the lingering sound echoing for three days." It is said: Scholars debating in grand halls, their spirits soaring; scholars seeking knowledge in elegant rooms, their thoughts lingering. The joy of scholarship lies in this. Paths winding to secluded beauty, talents emerging one after another; maple forests with falling geese, great leaders taking residence. The achievements of a university lie in this. To merge the gentle contributions of our scholars into the academic currents of our nation, we have established the "China University of Political Science and Law Civil, Commercial, and Economic Law Review." This issue selects twenty winning papers from the past two autumn forums, arranged by discipline, all authored by faculty members of the school. In future issues, in addition to selections from the annual autumn forum, we will also include submissions from external scholars and faculty and students of the school. We sincerely hope that scholars and all faculty and students of the school will pay close attention to, criticize, and participate in this journal. This is the preface.
