Features: The Swiss Federal Debt Code is one of the three most influential civil codes in the civil law system, serving as an important component of the Swiss Civil Code. Whether in its legislative framework of civil and commercial law integration or in its legislative content and techniques, it has had a broad and profound impact on civil law countries. The author hopes to contribute a small effort from an ordinary legal professional to the drafting of China's Civil Code with this book. When the Swiss Debt Code was formulated, it paid more attention to the new developments in the capitalist economy at the beginning of the 20th century, particularly adapting to the needs of the reality of capitalism transitioning from a free period to a monopoly stage, which was not present in the historical context of the German Civil Code's formulation. Scholars in Switzerland have also highly evaluated the Swiss Debt Code, believing that if the German Civil Code represents a summary of the 19th century, then the Swiss Civil Code heralds the dawn of the 21st century. The legislative project for China's Civil Code has already begun, and the successful formulation of the Civil Code cannot be separated from the reference and learning from foreign legislation. The author hopes to contribute a small effort from an ordinary legal professional to the drafting of China's Civil Code with this book.
