Features: Civil law is the basic law for regulating market economy relations. Civil law courses are one of the 14 core courses for law majors designated by the State Education Commission. The knowledge of civil law plays a fundamental role in cultivating the theoretical and practical competencies of law students. To improve teaching quality, in accordance with the decision of the Academic Editorial Committee of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, we organized teachers with rich teaching experience and profound theoretical expertise to write this book. The preparation of this textbook is based on the current civil laws of China, referencing relevant regulations and the Supreme People's Court's interpretations, using relatively mature civil law theories to explain the various systems of civil law. This is done with the aim of helping students establish a theoretical system of civil law, master basic civil law theories and application methods, and lay a theoretical foundation for their future practical work and further studies.
