What should I do if the newborn has a bad stomach?

Patient's question:

My child was just born two days ago and has only drunk some breast milk, some formula milk, and some water. Why is their stomach upset?

Doctor's answer:

The stool of newborns:
Breastfed babies: The stool is yellow, soft, and has a uniform consistency, resembling soft butter. Occasionally, it may be slightly thin and greenish but has an acidic smell without being foul. The average number of bowel movements per day is one to four. If the baby normally has four to five bowel movements, or even seven to eight, but is otherwise in good health and gaining weight, this is not considered abnormal.
Formula-fed babies: The stool is light yellow, drier, and more abundant, with a faint sour odor. Sometimes, it may also contain curds.
